SPORTS RIGHTS & MEDIA
Sports Sponsorship, Rights Planning & Brand Activation
Start with your market and brand objective. Explore event, team, club and athlete opportunities, then turn confirmed rights into a practical content and activation plan.
Plan the Partnership Around the Marketing Objective
WOBAO SPORTS helps brands and agencies plan sports sponsorship directions, rights requirements and activation content. We define the audience, market and communication task before discussing the sport, property category, creative approach and execution scope.
The value of a partnership depends on the rights a brand can use and the plan for putting them to work. Logo exposure, talent appearances, event footage, hospitality and account publishing are separate items to confirm before building a delivery plan.
If your brand already has a sponsorship agreement, we can discuss film, social content and event production within those existing rights. An event, organisation or brand logo appearing on this website does not establish that WOBAO SPORTS owns all its rights or can guarantee a partnership.
Confirm Each Type of Right Separately
Sponsorship Direction & Property Assessment
Discuss the market, audience, sport, brand category and budget. Specific availability, schedules and saleable rights require confirmation with the relevant rights holders.
Branding & Sponsorship Entitlements
Specify logo positions, formats, usage term, territories, category restrictions and approvals. Distinguish venue visibility, on-camera branding and promotional uses.
Broadcast & Event Content Use
Identify live coverage, match clips, archive footage or digital distribution needs, then confirm platforms, territories, term and permitted uses. Sponsorship does not automatically include broadcast rights.
Talent & Asset Usage
Confirm athlete participation, likeness, photography, music and other assets needed for the campaign. Permission for one asset should not be assumed to cover another.
Brand Activation & Content Production
Develop confirmed rights into films, short videos, on-site content or client activities, with creative, filming arrangements, formats, quantities and publishing responsibilities defined.
From Rights List to Execution Plan
1. Share the brief: brand website, markets and languages, audience, preferred sport, campaign objective, budget and launch date.
2. Assess the opportunity: discuss suitability, timing and category restrictions, then confirm the rights and usage conditions available with the relevant parties.
3. Define the scope: distinguish rights fees, production, events, travel, paid media and ongoing management, with responsibilities and approvals clearly assigned.
4. Create and execute: develop content and activity plans around confirmed rights, then complete the agreed filming, production and on-site deliverables.
5. Release and review: use assets within the agreed channels, timing and permissions, and measure delivery, verifiable exposure, engagement and business results separately.
Budget for Both Rights and Activation
Rights fees are one part of the investment. Creative, filming, editing, event execution, hospitality, travel and media distribution should be listed separately where required.
When comparing options, first consider what the brand may use, for how long, in which countries and on which channels. Then assess the resources needed to create content and activate the partnership. Logo counts or estimated audience size alone do not establish value.
Measure the Partnership Against Its Objective
Define delivery commitments and performance measures separately. Branding positions, asset quantities, media reporting, brand search, website visits and qualified business enquiries each need a clear definition and an accessible data source.
Total media audience, estimated impressions, actual views and direct conversions are different measures. Review data that can be obtained and verified; a sponsorship entitlement does not itself guarantee exposure or sales.
Sports Rights & Sponsorship Questions
Does sponsoring an event include all match footage?
Do not assume this from the sponsorship relationship. Match clips, live coverage, photography, appearances and other materials each need a defined scope of permitted use.
Can you activate rights we have already secured?
Yes. Share the activities, assets, territories, usage term and approval requirements permitted by the existing agreement so we can discuss production and execution.
Can you guarantee rights to a specific event or team?
Availability, schedule, category, market and budget need to be confirmed. We do not promise access before confirmation from the relevant rights holders.
Does the quote include paid media and hospitality?
The delivery list determines what is included. Rights, film production, events, tickets or hospitality, travel and media buying should be confirmed separately.
What should we prepare for an initial discussion?
Share the brand website, markets and languages, objective, preferred properties, launch date and budget range. For an existing agreement, describe the rights secured, restrictions and execution support required.
Discuss Your Sports Sponsorship & Activation Plan
Share your brand, target markets, budget and timing. WOBAO SPORTS can then discuss the partnership direction, rights requirements and content that can be delivered.
